I collaborated with a team of engineers, industrial designers and softgoods developers on a new travel product and entry into a fresh market niche for Peak Design. My responsibilities included:
- Exploring design directions, building CAD, and weighing ergonomics & aesthetics to integrate an overmold and flexible mechanism into a space-optimized subassembly.
- Releasing CAD packages and drawings to vendors overseas. Testing and comparing parts received.
- Constructing softgoods prototypes, drawing tech-packs, and evaluating samples of architecture variants.
- Contributing meaningfully to brainstorming and debate around feature priority, product construction, and design intent.
- Discussing and reviewing user pain-points, root causes, and technical solutions to the office’s custom bike rack with CEO Peter Dering.
